Since the beginning of the year, the softball fields have been under construction. With the field being remodeled, many new benefits arise for both the members of AHS and family members coming to watch their child play.

On September 15, AHS celebrated their annual homecoming festivities and traditions. This included both the homecoming game and nominating this years homecoming king and queen. The opposing team for the football game was Seminole High School, with the game ending in Seminole’s favor. The final score was 34 to 26.

Joshua Blevins, the new culinary teacher at AHS, heard about other subjects having UIL teams, so he wanted the same for his class. He decided it would be a catering team and he gathered the students by seeing how much they tried in class and sent a document to them and if they wanted to join they had the choice.

The AHS Band has been to multiple competitions in a short amount of time since school started. At each competition, each section has placed high as well as individual members receiving superior rankings.
