A live Nativity program staged over the weekend at the Andrews County Expo Arena provided local residents and even out-of-towners with a true Bethlehem Experience.
It was perhaps a breath of fresh air during a unique Christmas season in which many traditional holiday events were canceled because of COVID-19. The drive-thru event consisting of scenes leading up to the Nativity attracted a large crowd, according to program organizer Gary Rawls.
Odessa College nursing students handed out around 500 hot chocolates and at least 1,000 people attended, they estimated.
