A recent land acquisition by the Andrews Economic Development Corporation could result in additional affordable housing opportunities and infrastructure for one housing project already in the works near there and another that has been proposed.
The city council on Thursday approved a resolution supporting the AEDC Board’s approval last month to purchase a 23.5-acre land tract in northwest Andrews just south of CR 2000. AEDC Director Morse Haynes said Thursday the land was acquired for around $675,000.
