For an Andrews Lady Mustangs volleyball team climbing in the state polls at a very consistent rate, things got much better last week with a convincing road win — over Abilene Cooper, of all places.
In a week’s time, the Andrews Lady Mustangs 8th ‘B’ volleyball team won five fairly easy matches, including three at their own Andrews 8th ‘B’ tournament, to win the team championship and remain undefeated for the season.
It was three extremely hard-fought games, but at the end the Andrews Lady Mustangs 8th ‘A’ prevailed with a tough 26-28, 25-20, 25-23 win over Seminole Monday.
