Alejandro Z. Guzman
Alejandro Z. Guzman entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 11, 2023. He was born on January 19, 1942 in Charlotte, TX where he met his wife, Louisa.
After eloping on a motorcycle when he was 23 years old, they moved to Andrews to begin their married life. He built their home from the ground up with his own hands and together in their lifetime they created a wonderful family.
Alejandro was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Louisa Guzman and his best friend, Harry Guzman. He is lovingly survived by his 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and his brother.
Within Alejandro’s 81 years of life, he enjoyed fishing, playing slot machines, and Ford trucks. He devoted many years of his life diligently working in the oil field’s well service industry.
His passion followed him into his hobbies, where he enjoyed making elaborate pump jack replicas and woodworking.
He spent his final years with his family, traveling to many places, and creating memories with his new friends at Victoria’s Comfort Home in Harlingen, TX.
Alejandro was a benevolent man, who lived by sharing kindness and laughter with everyone he met. He was quite the jokester but always offered a helping hand. He was the most incredible version of a compassionate, selfless human being.
His legacy will forever leave an imprint on those that were lucky enough to know him. His family is so incredibly grateful for his time on Earth and all the wonderful memories and beauty he leaves behind.
A celebration of his life will be held at McNett Funeral Home on Thursday, November 16th from 9am to 11am and burial service will follow after at Andrews North Cemetery.
