Benny Lloyd

Benny Lloyd, age 84, of Waxahachie, passed away on November 30th, 2021. He was born just outside of Ira, Texas, on his grandpa’s farm. Parents Ben Lloyd and Audie Crabtree welcomed Benny on January 7th, 1937. Benny graduated Andrews High School where he met his wife and high school sweetheart Carolyn. The two married June 2, 1956 in Andrews, Texas. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage before she passed away in 2013.

Benny was a co-owner of a full-service station with his uncle J.P. Lloyd. He then went to work for Hydro Carbon Transportation, INC. as a pipeline mechanic. Benny was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He and Carolyn loved to travel and traveled all around the world. They even had a travel trailer that they would travel down South as winter Texans.

Left to cherish his memories are his children Charles Kent Lloyd and wife Jeannie, John Wade Lloyd and wife Gwen, Penny Carol Casebolt and husband Robert, grandchildren Ambre Lloyd, Adam Lloyd, Breanna Horrell, Christi Luna, Luke Wendeborn, Victoria Robins, Angelia Brooks, Gwen Brooks, Larry Brooks, greatgrandchildren Benjamin Cervantes, sister Deanna Boykin, and brother Michael Lloyd.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Audi Lloyd, the love of his life Carolyn Lloyd, and granddaughters Caroline Hensley and Beth Campbell.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. with the service to follow immediately after. Both Services will be held at the Brown Street Church of Christ in Waxahachie, Texas. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
