Carlos Jesus Tapia

Carlos Jesus Tapia, 64, of Andrews passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Ogbonna officiating. Interment followed in the Andrews North Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.

Carlos was born on July 13, 1956 in Juarez, Mexico. He married Maria Zamora on July 20, 1977. He was an Oil Derrick hand most of his life. Carlos enjoyed shopping at garage sales, stripping copper and eating cookies. Taking care of Maria and his grandchildren brought him great joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Maria and a great-granddaughter, Remi Grace Vargas.

Carlos is survived by his children, Carlos Tapia, Jr. and wife Yvonne, Sandra Canava and husband Ronnie, Joe Angel Lopez and wife Donade and Jamie Lopez all of Andrews, Texas, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
