Cruz Lopez

Cruz G. Lopez, 95, of Andrews passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Ogbonna officiating. The church is limiting the number of guests to 75. Masks must be worn. Interment will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Viewing will be from 9 AM-9 PM on Wednesday.

Cruz was born on May 3, 1925 in Sanderson, Texas to Roman and Felipa Gutierrez Lopez. He married Frances Vasquez Hernandez on November 14, 1945 in Sanderson, Texas. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Cruz worked for the Texas Highway Department for 23 years and the Texas Railroad Commission in Sanderson for 13 years. He was a die hard Dallas Cowboy fan and loved to travel with his wife. He will be greatly missed by his family. Cruz was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, 1 son, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

He is survived by his children, Diana Trevino and husband Joe, Roman Lopez and wife Viola and Eloy Lopez and wife Carolina all of Andrews, Texas, 23 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, 91 great-great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-great-grandchildren.
