March 20, 2019, that’s the day the Good Lord called our dad up to heaven. He is the greatest man we have ever known. He was so tough and gruff and strong. I’ll tell ya, the phrase “Cowboy up!” applied to this man in every single way possible. Inside that tough exterior, there was a tender hearted, sensitive, loving man. I can’t help but quote “daddy’s hands” when I think of him. It’s like it was written for him. He is my hero! Has been my entire life! He’s our foundation. He’d do anything for his family. He loved us for everything we are and even when we were on hard times we never went without. He was a provider, a stand-up guy, a friend and husband a daddy and a Poppa! Dad was a stubborn old fart, I use to tease him and tell him when he got old, I was just going to take him out to the ranch and put him out with the cattle. He’d just say “ok, sounds like heaven to me!” I have so many wonderful memories of this man. I can tell you this, not another person in this world could ever smell as good as my dad! I mean who would’ve thought that Ben gay and old spice would go together! Right! Lol... I got 41 blessed years with him and though it seems like a lot, I wasn’t enough I mean Amanda got 51, after all she is the oldest. My mom and dad were married 3 months shy of 53 yrs. I know right, that’s a long time! Amazing!!! Give them a gold medal, wait they got that at 50 yrs! Wow, they have a love like no other. Tolerate, patient, loving, kind and fiery of course. They are couple of Champs! Dad, you will be missed but we all carry you with us, you are the man, the myth, the legend, and a true Cowboy by definition.

Forever in our hearts, Stacy
