Gilberto Martinez, 48, of Andrews, TX passed away on December 02, 2020 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews, Texas.

Gilberto was born on May 9, 1972 to Natalio and Lucilia Arriazola in Andrews, Texas. He married Maria De Jesus (Perez) on October 16, 2020, in Andrews, Texas..

Gilbert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved barbecuing, having cookouts and listening to music. The children in his life were his pride and joy! Gilbert enjoyed all sports and was a big fan of boxing. Gilbert worked as a truck driver all his life and most recently was a hot shot driver in the oil field.

He is survived by his spouse Maria De Jesus Martinez of Andrews, TX; four children, Marcus Jiminez (Kasandra) of Virginia Beach, VA, Damian Solis Martinez of Waco, TX, Gilberto Hector Natalio Martinez of Andrews, TX, and Khloe Lucilia Martinez of Andrews, TX; two grandchildren, Matthew Josiah Martinez and Francesca Alicia Jiminez; his father, Natalio Martinez of Andrews, TX; and three siblings, Cesar Martinez (Sarah) of Andrews, TX, Mirsa Dariela Trevino (Juan) of Andrews, TX. and Mia Martinez of Andrews, TX.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucilia Arriazola and four siblings, Juan De Dios Martinez, Felix Martinez (Jaurene), Ema Nora Martinez and Morgan Guadalupe Martinez.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 7th, 2020 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm at American Heritage Funeral Home in Midland, TX. with rosary beginning at 6:00 pm.

Funeral services were on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews, TX. Burial will take place at Andrews County Cemetery North.
