Glenda “Judy” Judith Scarbrough

Glenda “Judy” Judith Scarbrough, 82, of Andrews, TX., passed away September 1, 2022, surrounded by her family in Odessa, TX.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate Judy’s life at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at The McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews, Texas with Guy Crawford Officiating. She was laid to rest at the Andrews County Old Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday, September 5, 2022, from 5PM8PM at McNett Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of McNett Funeral Home.

Judy was born July 17, 1940, in Hill County, Texas to Roland Leon Blocker and Bessie Bell Ferguson. She married Johnny Ray Scarbrough on February 20, 1959, in Phillips, TX., and they spent 63 amazing years together. Judy also known as “Mimi” was a teacher in Andrews for 34 years and loved it dearly. Even after retiring from teaching, she continued to tutor students until 2020. Judy was an active member of the Andrews County Republican Women, Daughters of American Revolution, Retired Teachers Association, and an Elder at Wesley Methodist Church. Judy loved anything Texas! She also loved to travel the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming was her favorite place to go. Judy was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher, and friend and will be dearly missed.

Judy is survived by her husband: Johnny Scarbrough of Odessa, TX.; brother: Larry M. Blocker and wife Cynthia of Andrews, TX.; sister: Carol Bindseil and husband Bobby of Fredericksburg, TX.; 2 grandchildren: Mandy Randolph and wife Emily Parks of Odessa, TX.; and Chris Randolph and wife Mesha of Odessa, TX; 3 great grandchildren: Robert Parks; Jonathan Randolph; and Shelby Randolph; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Roland and Bessie Blocker; daughter: Debbie Gonzales; brother: Roland “Spud” Blocker; sister: Beverly Blocker; and grandson: Caiden Randolph.
