Gonzalo Mendoza

Gonzalo Mendoza, 51, of Andrews, TX passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021. Gonzalo was born to Ruperto and Elodia Mendoza Anchondo on January 10, 1970, in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Gonzalo was the life of the party, no doubt. He had a sense of humor that was sure to make everyone laugh. The things he could come up with were so crazy all you could do was laugh. He was, by far, one of the best people to spend time with. No matter where he was, people were sure to love him.

Gonzalo worked very hard in the oil field for much of his life. When he wasn’t working he loved to barbeque or make his favorite chicharrons that were loved by everyone. He loved to cook and especially for his family and friends to enjoy. Afterwards, and even without a big meal, it was essential to join in a game of cards with a few beers. If he was surrounded by those that he loved, it didn’t matter what it was. He just loved being part of life.

Gonzalo is preceded in death by his parents, Ruperto and Elodia; sister, Aracely and Leticia Mendoza; and brothers, Arnoldo and Eloy Mendoza.

He is survived by his sisters, Maria Esther Mendoza and Maria Asucena McCown; his daughters Liliana Oliva and Idaly Mendoza, and ex-wife, Escolastica Balderrama.

Funeral Services are being held with Andrews Corgill Funeral Home. Public visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, 11am – 7:30 pm and Thursday, October 9, 11am – 9pm with church service at 7:30pm and Funeral Services on Friday at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes.
