Gradyne Hunt

Gradyne Hunt, 64, of Midland passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her sister’s residence in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM Monday, May 13, 2019 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Leslie L. Boone, PRMC Hospice Chaplain in Andrews, officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Gradyne was born on February 9, 1955 in Gallup, New Mexico to Grady Butler and Zula Mae Boyd Butler. She lived in Northeast Arkansas for many years and moved to Midland in 2008. She had worked for D.O.C. Homes as an office manager. She enjoyed working in her garden, reading, and collecting Christmas decorations, especially Santa Clauses. Genealogy was very important to her, and she loved working on her family history. She loved watching her daughter, Phenix, play softball throughout all her years, and she was great “Softball Mom”.

She will be remembered as very intelligent, smart, independent, stubborn, very loyal, and caring. Most of all, she loved her family and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Deborah Evans, brother, A.J. Harrel, and son in law, Shane Horner.

Gradyne is survived by her 2 children, Phenix Horner and Colby Hunt of Midland, partner and friend, Billy Hennis of Midland, 6 siblings, Buddy Butler and wife, Nancy, of Menard, Len Butler and wife, Shelly, of Lubbock, Michael Butler and wife, Helen, of Midland, Judy Kaye Carter of Bandera, Melanie David and husband, Don, of Rotonda West, Florida, and Juli Rowlett and husband, Rusty, of Andrews, and 6 grandchildren, Emma, Sadie, Seth, Dylan, Alexis, and Katherine.
