Higinio R. Figueroa

Higinio R. Figueroa, 78, of Andrews, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

Burial services will be on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Andrews County Cemetery-North Addition for the immediate family only.

Higinio was born on January 11, 1942 in El Saucito, Coahuila, Mexico to Jose Figueroa and Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez Figueroa. He married Andrea Granados on September 15, 1988 and were married for 31 years. Higinio enjoyed spending time with his family, working on his yard and especially loving on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devout Catholic and lived his faith every day. He was such a sweet beautiful soul, always had a smile for everyone he came across and he will be greatly missed! He worked for Kirby West for 33 years and Andrews ISD for 10 years.

Higinio is survived by his children, Raul Valenzuela (JoAnn), Diana Gonzalez (Luis), Joe Figueroa, Hector Figueroa, Sandra Gonzales, Norima Lopez (Alex), Luis Rene Figueroa (Ida), Elizabeth Lozano (Roy), Guadalupe Figueroa of Balmorhea and daughter-in-law Lupe Figueroa of Andrews. He had 30 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Del Carmen Figueroa, sons, Sergio Figueroa and Luis Alberto Figueroa, brother, Fidencio Figueroa, paternal grandparent, Juanita Gomez, maternal grandparents, Alberto and Marcelina Rodriguez.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of our loved one.
