Jesusita Maria Ramos

Jesusita Maria Ramos, 72, of Andrews, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas.

A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 20, 2023, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Isai Garcia Officiating.

Jesusita, known as Susie, was born December 27, 1950, in Pecos, Texas, to Simon Martinez and Alice Rheude. She married Silvero Ramos on October 2, 1966, in Eunice, NM., and spent 57 amazing years together. Susie was a member of the catholic church her whole life, she was a woman of great faith, and always prayed. She was a stern yet fair and loving mother of 5 children. She held a special place in her heart for her dogs, Channing, Chiquita, and Coco, and for her cockatiel Baby Girl who passed away the very same day. Susie enjoyed singing and dancing and loved to have her grandchildren around. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, nana, and friend and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband: Silvero Ramos of Andrews, Texas; sons, Samuel Ramos and wife Irene of Andrews, Texas, and Stanley Ramos and wife Lisa of Andrews, Texas; daughters, Silvia De La Cruz of Andrews, Texas, and Stephanie Ramos of Andrews, Texas; sisters, Linda Nunez and husband Jesse of Pecos, Texas, and Adela Garcia of Hobbs, New Mexico; 18 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.

Susie is preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Alice Martinez, son, Silvero Ramos, Jr., stepmom, Martha Martinez, brothers, Simon Martinez, Jr., and Juan Martinez, son in law, Johnny Estrada, and a great grandson, Nolan James Sanchez.
