John D. Porter, 83, of Midland, formerly of Andrews, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020.

Viewing for family and friends will be on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Andrews West Cemetery under the care of McNett Funeral Home.

John was born on April 5, 1937 in Iowa. He married Gladys Moore Porter in 1982 in Hobbs, New Mexico. John was a Marine in the Korean War. He was proud of his service as a Marine. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Andrews Mustangs. He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Gladys Porter, son, Frankie Swindle and sister, Nehla Underwood.

He is survived by his daughters Bonnie Cummins and husband, Craig of Midland, Mary Frances Steward of Andrews and Kathy Snell of Andrews, 3 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren.
