Maria de Jesusita “Chita” Rondan, 75, of Andrews went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at her home surrounded by family.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 201 NE Avenue K, in Andrews. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. Services are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. All visitation and rosary services will be held at their home at 2750 NE 480. Rosary services will be recited at 7:00 PM on Friday at the family home. Chita was born on July 28, 1944 in Villa Union, Coahuila, Mexico to Jose Zamora and Delfina Castaneda Zamora. She was raised in Villa Union and married George Osbaldo Rondan on November 26, 1960 in Villa Union. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She spent most of her time outside gardening. She loved to cook for everyone, watch western movies, shopping, going to garage sales. She was always delighted, when her siblings visited her. Her favorite pastime was arguing with her husband of 59 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Maria Rondan, grandson, Juan Jose Rondan, and 5 siblings, Andres Zamora, Conchita Zamora, Delores Zamora, Mariana Contreras, and Petra Zamora.
Chita is survived by her husband, George Rondan of Andrews, 7 children, Juan Raul Rondan and wife, Leticia, of Andrews, George Rondan and wife, Patricia, of Andrews, Jesus Zamora Rondan and wife, Damiana, of Andrews, Maria de los Angeles “Angie” Jimenez and husband, Fernando, of Andrews, Maria Carmelita “Carmen” Brown and husband, Wayne, of Andrews, Jose Luis Rondan of Andrews, and Ana Maria Torres and husband, Juan, of San Antonio, 7 siblings, Maria Louisa Tapia, Guadalupe Martinez, Jose Zamora, Reymundo Zamora, Maria Martinez, Juan Zamora, and Rosy Garces, all of them from Andrews, 15 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
