Melody Delane Dragoo

Melody Delane Dragoo, 66, of Andrews passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 Family and friends gathered to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel with James Beard officiating. Interment followed in the Andrews North Cemetery. Visitation was held Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home. Arrangements were under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.

Melody was born on August 29, 1957, to Gerald Deaver and Barbara Follis in Odessa, Texas. She married Kenneth Dragoo on January 31, 1992, in Andrews, Texas. Melody enjoyed cooking for family get-togethers and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved working outside, planting wildflowers and watching her chickens and ducks. Her favorite thing to do was take weekend trips to shop with Kenny.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Barbara Deaver, mother-in-law Kathy Dean and fatherin- law Donald Ray Dragoo.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 31 years, Kenneth Dragoo of Andrews, Texas, son, Matthew Cooper and wife Amanda of Andrews, Texas, daughter, Alicia Harper and husband Todd of Andrews, Texas, siblings, Tonya Beard and husband Jamie of Midland, Texas, Jerry Ann Jones and husband Sam of Andrews, Texas, Ardie Deaver and wife Dee Ann of Andrews, Texas, Randy Reinhardt and wife Becky of Uvalde, Texas and Lorna Phillips and husband Joe of Mid-City, Oklahoma and 5 grandchildren, Mattison Cooper, Meadow Cooper, Maverick Cooper, Hayden Harper and Mason Harper.
