Pamela Colbert McDonald “Pam”, a cherished educator, loving family member, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, in Andrews, TX, at the age of 71. Born on October 1, 1953, in Haskell, TX, Pamela’s warm spirit and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her.

After graduating from Haskell High School, Pam pursued her passion for education at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree. She dedicated thirtyfour years to teaching, shaping young minds at Andrews Independent School District before her well-deserved retirement. Pam’s commitment to her students and her love for teaching left a lasting impact on the community.

A devout Christian, Pam found great solace and joy in her faith. She was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church for over twenty-five years, where she formed many treasured relationships and contributed to the church’s mission with unwavering faith and enthusiasm.

Pam’s zest for life was evident in her social engagements, especially with her beloved friend group, the Ya Ya’s. Her presence at every event was marked by laughter, support, and an unbreakable bond with her friends. Pam’s ability to cherish life’s moments and foster deep connections made her an unforgettable presence in the lives of many.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, son Colbert Keith McDonald and daughter-in-law Crissy Jill McDonald of Kingsland, TX; daughter Lee Colbert McDonald and husband Luke Brady McDonald of Midland, TX. Her brothers, Robert Gates Colbert and wife LeeAnn Toliver Colbert of Dallas, TX, and Anthony Christopher Colbert of San Angelo, TX, along with brotherin- law Sammy Larned of Haskell, TX, will remember Pamela with profound love and admiration. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren Emma Rea McDonald, Adilyn Grey McDonald of Kingsland, TX, and Lyle Russell McDonald of Midland, TX, who will miss their grandmother’s warmth guidance, and fun-loving nature.

Pam is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Barry Keith McDonald, and her parents, Robert E. Colbert, MD., and Golda Gates Colbert and sister Gerre Diane Larned. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is embraced by their love once again.

Pam Colbert McDonald lived a life full of love, service, and joy. Her unwavering dedication to her family, her students, and her faith left an indelible mark on the world. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those she has left behind.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Pam’s family invites you to join them in celebrating her life and the countless ways she enriched the lives of others. Her memory will be honored, her life celebrated, and her legacy cherished forevermore. “Here comes Daddy Long Legs…” A visitation was held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 6:00PM8:00PM in the evening at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews, Texas.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at 10:00AM at Andrews North Cemetery in Andrews, Texas.
