Randall Lee Stevens
Randall Lee Stevens (Steve), went home to meet his Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 17, 2021, at the age of 92. Visitation will be Thursday, 12:00 pm until 8 pm, and Friday, 10 am until 12:00 pm. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, January 22, at the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home. Rev Charlie Garcia, pastor of Maranatha Assembly of God will be officiating. Pallbearers are grandsons Randy Lopez of Andrews, Toby Nock of Midland, Bradley Stevens of San Angelo, Cody Hamilton of Greenwoood, Justin Gregg of Katy, and Jace Gregg of Midland.
Randall was one of 8 children born to John Henry and Arizona Dunn Stevens in Coalgate, Oklahoma on September 8, 1928. He graduated from Olney High School in Olney, Oklahoma and joined the Army Air Corp September 3, 1946 serving as a Staff Sergeant in World War II occupational forces. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal Japan.
He married Wanda Uvonne Ravan July 12, 1950 in Ada, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death Sept 20, 2011. They moved to Eunice, NM in Dec. 1950, settling in Andrews in 1958 with their three children. Known as “Steve” in the oilfield, he worked for various oil companies including Halliburton, Coal Oil and Gas, and later retired from Cabot Oil Corporation.
Randall was a past member of Andrews Masonic Lodge and a member of Maranatha Assembly of God Church. He was very active in church and served many years as a Royal Ranger Commander, Youth Sponsor and Deacon at both Andrews First and Maranatha Assembly of God churches.
He is survived by two sons and their wives, Gary and Pam Stevens of Midland and Terry and Tina Stevens of Andrews; one daughter and her husband, Linda and Joe Gregg of Midland; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Vivian Norman of Lawrence, MS.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Permian Regional Care Center for their loving care of our loved one. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to PRCC and Maranatha Assembly of God church.
