Raul Garcia Sanchez, 63 of Andrews, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Andrews, Texas.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM Friday, February 15, 2019 at La Nueva Jerusalem Church with Pastor Isai Garcia officiating. Interment followed in the Andrews North Cemetery under the personal care of Mc-Nett Funeral Home. A prayer service was held at 6:00 PM Thursday, February 14, 2019 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Raul was born on June 30, 1955 in Pilares, Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco and Manuela Garcia Sanchez. He married Teresa Mendoza on December 21, 1974 in Porvenir, Mexico. They came to Andrews in 1991. Raul worked as a roustabout in the oil fields for many years. He loved to cook for his family. Raul like to watch American Pickers, Pawn Stars and Gold Rush on T.V. He enjoyed collecting arrow heads, antique coins, and ball cards of all types. He loved to be with his grandchildren and his dog Prissy. Raul was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Manuela Fuentez, Juan Sanchez, and Guadalupe Anchondo.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Sanchez of Andrews, a son Raul G. Sanchez, Jr and wife Lorraine of Andrews, daughter, April S. Aranda and husband Issac, III. Of Andrews, four brothers, Oscar Baltazar of Houston, Texas, Arturo Sanchez of Van Horn, Texas, Ramon Sanchez of Andrews, Erevy Garcia of Odessa, three sisters, Alicia Gonzales of Van Horn, Texas, Cynthia Jimenez of Andrews, and Rose Jimenez of Carlsbad, New Mexico, three grandchildren, Leroy and fiancée Larissa Cabrera, Marc Sanchez and Emilynn Sanchez all of Andrews.
