Richard Keith Harrelson
Richard Keith Harrelson, 64, of Andrews went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Odessa.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the Andrews Church of Christ with Rev. Leslie Boone officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Richard was born on December 14, 1955 in Kermit, Texas to Marion Carter Harrelson and Buck Dueane Harrelson. He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1974. Richard was proud to serve his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1974- 1978. During his career as an Appliance Technician for Sears he served countless customers and loved his job. Richard never met a stranger and well liked by those he knew. His family and friends knew him as a comedian and jokester. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and loving on his dogs. He was an avid fan of the Texas Tech Red Raiders.. As a member of the Andrews Church of Christ, he was a faithful servant of the Lord. On February 19, 2016, Richard married his loving wife, Debra SoRelle in Jourdanton, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenny Harrelson and uncle, William Harrelson.
Richard is survived by his wife Debra Harrelson of Andrews, Texas, children, Brandon Harrelson and Jeanna (Gianna) Harrelson both of California, Teisha Childers and husband Ben, Lacy Harrelson and Emily Harrelson all of Rising Star, Texas, stepchildren, Shelly Sprinkle and husband Shane and Josh Billig and wife Hilda both of Andrews, Texas, brothers, Steve Harrelson and Loyd Harrelson and wife Kathy, stepmother, Sue Harrelson of Lorenzo, Texas, stepsister, Suzanne Foust of Lorenzo, Texas, step brother, David Gray of Gorman, Texas, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
