Riley Gerald “Jerry” McPherson

Riley Gerald “Jerry” McPherson, 83, of San Angelo, Texas, passed peacefully at his home, Friday, March 31, 2023, in San Angelo, Texas.

A visitation was held Sunday April 2, 2023, from 5:00PM-8:00PM at McNett Funeral Home. Services will be held privately on a later date. Arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.

Jerry was born September 23, 1939, in Andrews, TX to Riley Loveless McPherson and HelenJewel“Laudermilk” McPherson. He married Patty J. McPherson October15, 1965 in Midland, TX; and they spent 37 years together until her passing in 2002. Jerry was a longtime resident of Andrews. He attended Andrews High School graduating in 1958. He then went on to attend college at

Southwestern Oklahoma State University earning a master’s degree. Jerry was a dedicated and caring coach for Andrews and various other towns in Texas He and his wife Patty founded Southwest Realty in Andrews in 1994. Jerry was a Veteran of the U.S Army and proudly served his county. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed ranching and working with animals. He also had a passion for archaeology. His main love was his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, coach and friend to many. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his two daughters: Kim Smith; and Pam Horton both of San Angelo TX; four grandchildren: Jason; Josh; Brett; and Kylie; and one great grandchild: Jaxon.

Jerry is preceded in death by his wife: Patty McPherson; parents: Riley and Helen McPherson; and brother: Terry McPherson.
