Teresa Gayle Froelich
Teresa Gayle Froelich, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away on October 26, 2024, in Andrews, Texas. Born on August 25, 1951, in Gorman, Texas, to John Paul and Bennye Sue Sharp, Teresa’s life was a testament to the power of family, love, and resilience.
Teresa’s journey began as the beloved daughter of the Sharp family and grew to encompass a life filled with joy and devotion as a wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. While she was preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Monica “Munky” Book and Shawna Lynn Froelich, her grandson Mikey Rhea, and her greatgrandson Jackson, Teresa’s legacy lives on through her cherished family. Her husband, Henry Froelich of Andrews, TX, stood by her side as her unwavering partner and his Queen Bee. Her son, Stephen Froelich of Midland, TX, and daughters Kim Rhea and husband James of Andrews, TX, Sheila Dunlap and Anthony White of Andrews, TX, and Sheila Gritte and husband Dave of Corpus Christi, TX, were the pride of her life.
Teresa’s sisters, Claudia Duncan of DeLeon, TX, Yolanda Sharp of Menifee, CA, and her chosen sister Charlene Pollet of Andrews, TX, shared an unbreakable bond with her, filled with love and laughter. Her grandchildren, Christopher, Frankie, Dustin, Amber, Brandon, Alysa, Truman, Noah, Chance, Elizabeth, and Brianna, along with her greatgrandchildren, Bentley, Sophia, Jayte, Wyatt, Jack, Kaislynn, Archer, Marilynn, Henry, Charlie, and Gwinny, were the joy of her existence, and she reveled in their every accomplishment and milestone.
Teresa spent her professional life as a dedicated secretary in the oil and gas industry, where her work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident.
Family was the cornerstone of Teresa’s world. She was the quintessential Mama Bear, fiercely protective and endlessly supportive of her children, both biological and those she lovingly adopted into her heart. Her red velvet cake was legendary, and her cinnamon stick candy was a gift of love, even though she never indulged in it herself. She found great joy in playing games with her family.
Teresa’s love for the holidays knew no bounds, and she took immense pleasure in shopping for her children and grandchildren, always thinking of others before herself. Her penchant for being late became a charming trademark, but those who knew her understood that she would always be there when it mattered most, her presence a gift in itself.
An avid fan of Betty Boop, Teresa also enjoyed the thrill of the ride, cruising with her sister Claudia on the back of her trike. These moments of freedom and joy were cherished memories for Teresa As we bid farewell to Teresa Gayle Froelich, we celebrate a life lived with boundless love and an enduring commitment to family. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and her spirit will remain a comforting presence in the lives of those she touched. Teresa’s journey on this earth has concluded, but her story will be told for generations to come, a narrative of a life beautifully lived.
A Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews, Texas. A Memorial Service for Teresa will be on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at Second Baptist Church in Andrews, TX.
