Wanda (Nanny) Jean Miller
Wanda (Nanny) Jean Miller went home to be with God on December 26, 2021, in Andrews Texas.
She was born in Amarillo, Texas on March 9, 1931, to Walter and Gladys Meador. Soon after, the family moved to Blair Oklahoma and later to Clinton, Oklahoma where she attended school. After graduating, she met and married Dwight Leon Miller on March 10, 1950, in Clovis, New Mexico. Over the next 49 years, they would live in Plainview and Hart, Texas where they raised their two children, Tony and Carol. Wanda was a farmer’s wife but also a secretary/bookkeeper, Bible class teacher, and a very talented seamstress. After the children grew up, she served as the secretary for the Garland Street Church of Christ in Plainview, Texas for many years. During this period, she greatly enjoyed working with the youth to prepare and participate in Bible Bowl competitions. After the death of her husband, she moved to Andrews where she used her sewing skills to make more than 8500 dresses and shirts for under privileged children in Nicaragua and Ecuador. She loved serving her Lord and spoiling her grandchildren along with the great grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children: Tony Miller and wife Irene Miller of Pinetop, Arizona and Carol Boswell of Andrews, Texas, 5 grandchildren: Michael Boswell and wife Casey of Odessa, Texas, Jeremy Boswell of Pipe Creek, Texas, Ron Miller and wife Vicki of Phoenix, Arizona, Stephanie Boswell; fiancée Robert Faz of Andrews, Texas and Robert Miller of Tucson, Arizona along with 5 great grandchildren: Matthew Boswell, Kobe Boswell, Caleb Boswell, Kayia Howard, and Sam Griego. She is preceded in death by her husband Dwight Miller, son-in-law Marc Boswell, and two brothers Roy Meador and Jerry Meador.
