Wilma Sue Pool

Wilma Sue Pool, 69, of Andrews, Texas passed away on Sunday March 17, 2019.

Sue was born in Denver City, Texas on January 5, 1950 to J.A. and Lola McDowell. She graduated from Permian High School in Odessa Texas in 1968 and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Woman’s University. Sue was married to Richard Daniel Pool for over 28 years.

Sue worked in fabric stores and designed dresses and gowns before working as an accountant for many years at Leamco Services and Terraco in Midland, Texas before retiring to enjoy her hobbies.

Sue enjoyed reading, drawing, coloring, sewing, studying the bible, and in her younger years driving around in her red Mazda RX7 with a manual transmission.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents J.A. and Lola McDowell, her brother Loyd Glen, and her sister Lana Mc-Dowell. Sue is survived by her husband Richard Pool of Andrews, her step children Tammy Aylesworth and Christy Pool of Midland, Daniel Pool and John L. Pool of Andrews, her brother Dwane and his wife Lanice of Crawford, Texas, her brother Jim McDowell and wife Glenda of Brackettville, Texas, her sister Nona Compton of Odessa, Texas, her sister Ora Keetley and husband David of Round Top, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland, Texas with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Rest-haven Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. in Midland, Texas.
