Wimberly Hammond
Wimberly Hammond, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and daughter, passed away peacefully the morning of September 10th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Born to the late James and Ellen Davalt, Wimberly carried with her the values of love, compassion, and resilience that her parents instilled in her.
She is survived by her brother, Jim Ed Davalt (Anna Davalt), and her two sisters, Lillian Smith (Larry Smith) and Kay Spearman (Brian Spearman). Wimberly’s love and devotion live on through her three children: Jessica Ramos, Jamie Moore (Ryan Moore), and Joshua Henry (Deanna Porras), as well as her five cherished grandchildren: Olivia, Alexis, and Alia Ramos, and Luke and Landon Moore.
With a career spanning 18 years at the Adult Probation Office, Wimberly was deeply involved in helping the community. Her heart was always open to those facing personal challenges, as she provided support and care for individuals working through their struggles.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her family and all those whose lives she touched.
Services will be held to honor Wimberly’s life at Grace Baptist Church 507 NE 4th Street, Andrews, Texas on September 14, 2024 at 12:30-2:30.
