Yolanda Lopez, 62, of Andrews passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Pastor Joseph Ogbonna officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home, and a Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the church. Yolanda was born on February 4, 1958 to Antonio Lopez and Margarita Rodriguez in Andrews, Texas. She married Teodoro Lopez in Eagle Pass, Texas on November 21, 1978. Yolanda was an office assistant for Alco and Shopko for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Yolanda was a kind loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Nothing was more important to her than her family. She was the heart of the family. She was a devout Catholic who loved God. She always thought of others, and of their needs above her own. The most important thing to her was the unity of her family. She was never one to hold a grudge. Yolanda always had a smile and a hug for anyone who needed it. Yolanda loved to watch Little House on The Prairie, and adored music from Marco Antonio Solis. She loved estate sales and shopping. Yolanda loved to cook and bake for family and friends; she was always there to lend a helping hand to a person in need.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Neo Calvert, both parents, brothers Tony Lopez, Joe R. Lopez, Guadalupe Lopez (Wally), sister Gloria Garcia, nephew Alvaro Rodriguez (Lito), and niece Chelsea Valenzuela
Yolanda is survived by her husband, Teodoro Lopez of Andrews, 1 daughter, Mary Isabel Perales and husband, Jose of Andrews, 3 sons Saul Lopez and wife Yadira of Andrews, Abraham Lopez of Oklahoma, Jimmy Lopez and wife Betsy of Midland, Texas, 5 sisters, Anita Nieto of San Jose California; Felipita (Blackie) Rodriguez, and Alvena Medina of Andrews; Rita Burciaga of Odessa, and Rosy Sanchez of Bandera, 3 brothers Manuel Lopez of Sweet Water, Ernest Lopez and Louis Lopez of Andrews, and 12 grandchildren.
