Priscilla “Pat” Eaton

Priscilla “Pat” Eaton, 77, of Andrews passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 in Andrews. She was also known as “Percy” by the Olivar Family.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate Mass at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 201 NE Avenue K, in Andrews. Cremation is under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. Visitation was from 12 PM – 9 PM on Thursday and 9 AM – 9 PM on Friday, and Rosary services were recited at 7:00 PM Friday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel.

Pat was born on May 8, 1942 in Mentmore, New Mexico to Jose Olivar and Jacoba Villalobos Olivar. She was raised and attended schools in Gallup, New Mexico. She married James Winnen Eaton, Sr. on September 30, 1966 in Safford, Arizona. They lived in El Paso and moved to Andrews in 1983.

She enjoyed quilting, cooking for her family, and having her hair done by Hortencia Emiliano every week. She was very independent, strong, funny, loving, caring, and loved taking care of her family and friends. She was very strong in her Christian faith and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Jacoba Olivar, 2 sons, Bill and Darrell Eaton, 6 siblings, Jessie, Mary, Vangie, Theresa, Bennie, and Rudy, and granddaughter, Tori Lee Griffith.

Pat is survived by her husband, James W. Eaton, Sr. of Andrews, 4 children, Roxanne Griffith of Abilene, Odessa Hoelscher and husband, Benny, of Eden, Jamee Eaton of Bakersfield, California, and James Eaton, Jr. of Long Beach, California, 5 siblings, Sally Marks of Lake Isabell, California, Viola Parra, Eugene Olivar and wife, Mildred, and Peter Olivar and wife, Polly, all of Gallup, New Mexico, and Annie Presfield and husband, James, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, 5 grandchildren, Heather, Dakota, Dustee, Alexandra, and Ashley, and 9 great grandchildren.
