Phyllis Ann Adkins

Phyllis Ann Adkins, 78 of Andrews passed away Monday, August 12, 2019 in Andrews.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Josh Morris officiating. Interment followed in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. The family received friends from 5 – 7 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Phyllis was born on July 21, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Elmer and Jewel Imes Moody. She grew up in Arlington, Texas. She married Darrell Adkins on October 30, 1964 in Arlington, Texas. Phyllis loved to sew, she operated New Threads sewing for several years. She enjoyed playing the piano and served as the pianist at her church as well as making pies with her church group. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter Danae Lashell Adkins.

She is survived by her husband Darrell Adkins of Andrews, Texas, daughter, Melonye Adkins Bourg and her husband Rudy of Midland, Texas, two sons, Robby Adkins of Andrews, Texas and Josh Adkins of Midland, and four grandchildren.
