German Vega Rey, 66, of Andrews passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Andrews.

German was born on May 28, 1953 in Mexico to Romolo and Rita Rey. He lived in Andrews for 40 years before moving to Whitney, Texas where he enjoyed fishing and taking his grandchildren fishing. He lived in Whitney for 20 years He worked in construction building bridges for many years. He recently moved back to Andrews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Vega Rey, brother, Rito Rey Vega and a sister, Graciela Rey Vega.

German is survived by his wife, Sylvia Gutierrez Vega, father, Romolo Rey of Mexico, sons, Ruben Rey, Reynoldo Rey both of Andrews, daughter Amanda Rey Connell and husband Jim of Andrews, Blanca Casarez and husband Sonny of Odessa, step daughters, Yolanda Salines and husband Jamie of San Angelo, Vicki Ballew and husband Charles of Andrews, Erica Gutierrez of Andrews, Joni Gutierrez Aguirre of Andrews, step sons, Emelio Rubio of California, Jason Gutierrez and wife, Jocelyn of Andrews, Michael Gutierrez and wife Emily of Andrews, brothers, Domingo Rey Vega and wife Ma.Aurelia Comacho Madrid, Alfredo Rey Vega, Hector Santos Rey Vega and wife Maria Hernandez, Gilberto Rey Vega, sister, Leticia Rey Vega all of Mexico, 30 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
