Walter “Pete” Peters

Walter “Pete” Peters, 75, of Andrews went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 11, 2020 in Andrews.

Pete was born on January 15, 1945 in Vernon, Texas to Hallie Marie Koontz and Walter Herbert Peters, Sr. He married Jana Rae Duncan on January 17, 1981 in Andrews. Pete loved being surrounded by his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed being outdoors. He spent time throughout the years raising livestock, especially Boer goats. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He could spend hours telling stories about the past with his family and friends. Pete was passionate about his faith in Christ and loved sharing his beliefs with others. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jeremy Ray Peters.

Pete is survived by his wife Jana Rae Peters of Andrews, Texas, daughters, Bonnie Nunez and husband Aron, Hallie Martinez and husband Eric, and Tammy Peters all of Andrews, Texas, sons, Gilbert Peters and wife Barbara of Andrews, Texas, Desmond Halupa and wife Kimberly of Goldsmith, Texas and Noah Halupa and wife Zoe of Del Rio, Texas, brother Ricky Peters and wife Terri of Iowa Park, Texas, sister, Julie Hammond of Cleburne, Texas, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Andrews Food Pantry or West Texas Food Bank.
