William “Kenny” Kendall Davis
William “Kenny” Kendall Davis, 63, returned to his heavenly home on November 28, 2020, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Kenny was surrounded by three of his four children Chisum, Beau, and Tabitha. Kenny’s devotion to his family, God, and the love of his life Debi Davis, whom passed almost 9 years prior, made this a very special blessing for his entrance into Heaven for his family, knowing he was going to be with his two greatest loves: Jesus and their Momma.
Kenny was born on November 8, 1957 in Richardson, Texas to Londa Ruth Reed and William Aubrey Davis, and was the youngest of four siblings. He grew up in Comanche, Texas where he graduated high school and went on to attend Texas Tech University for a short period of time. He always had an entrepreneurial spirit and left college to buy his own carpet cleaning equipment and started his very first company. While he was very successful at that, the oil and gas industry in West Texas got his attention and he moved to the boom town of Andrews, Texas in the early 80’s. Not long after he moved to Andrews, at the young age of 26, Kenny met Debi Renee Moore, with whom he fell for head over heels with at first sight. The two went on one date, which Debi was reluctant to go on, but Kenny’s persistent spirit won her over. Kenny called her after that first date and asked her to marry him. Debi and her three young boys Coby, Chisum, and Beau Moore moved to Andrews from Midland and they married November 2, 1984, less than a month after they first met. Kenny took on the title of “dad” to the three boys and raised them as his own from that moment on. On February 1, 1986, Kenny and Debi welcomed their little girl Tabitha Lacey Davis, making their family complete. Kenny could often be found coaching little league, basketball, he loved sports and was always actively involved in all of his kid’s events. Kenny had a long career in the West Texas oil industry. He worked in sales for Frac Tank Rentals for 20 years, he could remember every person’s phone number by heart and always had two phones in his hands. While working for Frac Tank Rentals he started his own oilfield equipment business, K&D Equipment, in 1997. Kenny took a small loan from a bank and ended up growing a very successful oilfield equipment sales company that he ran for 17 years. Everyone that knew Kenny, knew him from the oilfield, but they also knew he had a love for Jesus that he couldn’t help but share. Being on the phone with him you might start out talking about pump jacks, but you could end up getting a testimony about the blood of Jesus. He always put God first, people second and business third, knowing that the most important thing was spreading the gospel.
Kenny is survived by his four children: Coby Moore and wife Christie, Chisum Moore and his wife Carissa, Beau Moore and his wife Reesa, his daughter Tabitha and her husband Brian Swiniarski. He is also survived by grandchildren, Eden Crenshaw, Justin, Jaxyn, Jhett, Connor, and Mason Moore, Saylor and Boston Swiniarski, and great granddaughter, Evie Crenshaw. Kenny is also survived by his siblings Debbie Mangan and her husband Bob, Jackie Collazo and her husband Frank, Tommy Gibson and Mary Jett. He is preceded in death by his mother Londa Ruth Reed, his dad William Aubrey Davis, and his stepdad Wallace E Gibson. Private services are under the care of McNett Funeral Home.
