Marion “Marty” Hall

Marion “Marty” Hall , October 4, 1925 – December 14, 2020.

Marty Hall was born in Big Sandy, Texas. Her parents were Marion and Pearl Stegall. She had a younger sister, Jean Stewart and a younger brother, Ray Stegall. Marty grew up in Big Sandy and Gladewater, Texas and graduated from Stephen F. Austin University. She married Hugh Hall of Sweetwater, Texas in 1954 and together they had two sons, Mark and Scott. Marty taught elementary school in several West Texas school districts. The family eventually moved to Andrews in 1966. After Hugh retired from Exxon, the couple volunteered at various National Parks and Forests across the USA.

Marty made friends easily and was a volunteer as a “Pink Lady” with the women’s auxiliary at Permian General Hospital for close to 50 years.
