Jackie Pipkin
Jackie Pipkin, 78, of Andrews passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Odessa, Texas
Jackie was born on December 9, 1942 to Jack and Nola Kelly Pipkin in Compton, Arkansas. He served his country in the Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He always had a love for horses and agriculture and participated in rodeoing during high school and college. Jackie owned J&N Construction with his father and later was an owner/operator truck driver for many years. His favorite pastimes included fishing, being near the ocean, spending time with his horses and working on his “hotrods”. Jackie loved to eat good food and considered himself a culinary master of the Southern cuisine. He loved listening to music and dancing. Back when they were physically able if a song came on that moved him he would grab Sharon and they would dance; in the kitchen, in the yard, in the store. It didn’t matter to him where, when or who was or wasn’t around. One of his other passions was to talk. He would talk to anyone who would listen and some that didn’t. He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, soulmate and wife of 45 years, Sharon Pipkin.
Jackie is survived by his sons, Robert Pipkin and wife Corina of Odessa, Texas; Charles Pipkin of Andrews, Texas and 4 grandchildren, Dylan Pipkin and Corinne Pipkin of Houston, Texas and Kayli Pipkin and Conner Pipkin of Spanish Fork, Utah.
