James (Jim) Papstein

Jim Papstein, 63 of Andrews, TX. Passed Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Odessa Medical Center after his fight with cancer. At Jim’s request no formal services will be held.

Jim Papstein was born on December 6, 1957, to DeTroy and Jeannine Papstein in Norfolk Ne He grew up and attended grade school in Norfolk He moved to Aberdeen S.D. where he graduated from Aberdeen Central High School. Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. He had various jobs before finding his career in the pipeline industry. Jim’s career had him moving from South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, and Texas. At the time of his death, he was employed by Plains All American.

Grateful for having shared Jim’s life are his mother Jeannine Papstein, Omaha Ne., his three brothers: Tim Papstein (Cindy), Omaha Ne., Mark Papstein (Suzie), Aberdeen, S.D., Tom Papstein (Lisa), Yankton, S.D. three nephews: Kent, Alex and Ben two nieces Fauna, Aurora and many friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his father: DeTroy Papstein.
