Janie Pearl Westfall, age 93, of Andrews, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, in Andrews, Texas.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the McNett Funeral Chapel, in Andrews, Texas with Billy Carl Carruth officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery pallbearers will include J.R. Carruth, Robby Carruth, Shawn Derrington, Skyler Huitt, Josh Buck, and Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home
Janie was born July 19, 1928, in Gatesville, TX., to George Newt Timmons and Liddie Lee “Hubble” Timmons. Janie married Truman Carruth on December 7, 1945, and they spent 35 wonderful years together until his passing in 1980. She was an extremely crafty woman and love to quilt and crochet. She was a Christian and a servant to all, she would always make sure everyone around was taken care of even if it meant she went without. She loved to do puzzles and play Wahoo with her mother and loved to sing hymns with her daughter. Janie was an amazing mother and took great pride in her home and her children. She will be missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her sons: Tommy Carruth and wife Donnice of Spur, TX.; and Donnie Carruth and wife Bertha of Andrews, TX.: daughters: Gaynell McNew and husband Allen of Midland, TX.; and Wanda Jordan of Aledo, TX.: brothers: Jimmie Timmons and wife Vickie of Andrews, TX.; and Billy Timmons of Pittsburg, TX.: sisters: Eva Savage of Odessa, TX.; Betty Bowling of Andrews, TX.; and Helen Bolton of Midland, TX: 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her 1st husband and father of her children: Truman Carruth 2nd husband: Mike Westfall: son: Jerry Carruth, and parents: George and Liddie Timmons.
