Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough Sr.

Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough Sr., passed away peacefully at home on February 25, 2022 in New Braunfels, TX.

Funeral services were held at 10 am on Tuesday, March 1st at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in New Braunfels, TX with Alan Yarbrough, his nephew, officiating. Burial followed at Guadalupe Valley Cemetery in New Braunfels.

Kenneth was born in Roswell, New Mexico to Olen Lee Yarbrough and Helen Irene Yarbrough on March 31, 1948. He grew up in Andrews, TX and attended Andrews schools 1st-12th grade.

He married Sandra Kay Duley on February 11, 1966 in Andrews, Texas. He started his work career working in the oil field but felt a call to law enforcement. He became a Police Lieutenant for the Andrews Police Department where he served faithfully for many years. They moved to New Braunfels in June 1986 where he worked as a builder before his retirement.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Helen Yarbrough and brother Larry Joe Yarbrough.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Sandra Yarbrough; daughters Carol LePere and husband Greg LePere of New Braunfels, TX; Sonya Marquez and husband Luis Marquez of Midland, TX; and son Kenneth Yarbrough Jr and wife Debbie Yarbrough of Schertz, TX; brothers James Carroll Yarbrough and Timothy Lee Yarbrough of Andrews, Texas; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
