Bertha Alicia Tejeda, age 72, of Andrews, TX, passed away, October 22, 2022, in Lubbock, TX.

Family and Friends will gather to celebrate her life on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 1pm at The McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Leslie Boone Officiating. Burial will follow at the Andrews North Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5PM-8PM,

Thursday, November 3, 2022, at McNett Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of McNett Funeral Home.

Bertha was born June 6, 1950, in Delicias, Mexico to Jose Tejeda and Rafaela Lechuga. Bertha was a hardworking woman, she worked at Kirby Manufacturing for 34 years. She loved to garden, dance, and cook. She was a strong believer in Christ and wasn’t afraid to vocalize her praise for him. She walked by faith and saw by faith. She also had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Bertha’s grandchildren and cats were her whole world! She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her son: Jesus Tejeda and wife Monica of Rocklin, CA; daughters: Rosa Maria Tejeda; and Jessica Rita Sarmiento both of Andrews, TX; special family members: Mary Lou Chavez of Odessa, TX; Joseph Chavez of Odessa, TX; and Lucy Chavez of Big Spring, TX; 8 grandchildren: Cristina Magallanes; Rosa Magallanes; Daniela Magallanes; Joshua Provost; Samantha Bennett; Gabriel Tejeda; Destiny Carruth; and Riley Carruth; and 7 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers.

Bertha is preceded in death by her parents: Jose and Rafaela Tejeda; son: Rafael Tejeda; and 4 brothers.
