Consuelo “Chelo” Rodriguez

Consuelo “Chelo” Rodriguez, age 84, of Andrews, TX passed away Monday, December 19, 2022, in Midland, TX.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Friday, December 23, 2022, at the McNett Funeral Home in Andrews, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of McNettt Funeral Home.

Chelo was born November 14, 1938, in Sanderson, TX to Luz Ponce. Chelo enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and watching the Dallas Cowboys Football games, music, dancing, and going garage sale shopping. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her sons: Bobby Alaniz and wife Sylvia of Andrews, TX; Rene Alaniz and wife Marta of Andrews, TX; Roger Alaniz and wife Rosie of Ft. Worth, TX; daughters: Cori Pena and huband Ruben of Midland, TX; Crissy Begay and husband Darren of Farmington, NM; sisters: Josie Cruz of Collins, GA; and Santa Perez of Houston, TX; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Luz Ponce; brothers: Ruben Rodriguez, and Guillermo Rodriguez; and sisters: Maria Elena Valdez, Margarita Lopez, Esperanza Saldivar, and Ersilia Aguerro.
