Jaynie Hudgens, 79, of Andrews Texas, passed from this life Saturday, March 18, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 1:00PM, Thursday, March 23, 2023, at The McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Glenn Hammock officiating. Burial will follow at the Andrews West Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5:00OPM-8:00PM, Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at McNett Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.
Jaynie was born December 16, 1943, in Duncan, Oklahoma to L.D. Williams and Rachel May “Dudley” Williams. She married Bobby Hudgens Sr. November 11, 1961, in Andrews, TX and they spent 41 amazing years together until his passing in November of 2002. Jaynie was always a very active mother, she was always the parent that signed up to help with any sporting events, or anything her children were active in. She continued that with her grandchildren, they always held a special place in her heart. Jaynie loved to cook, bake, and talk. She loved to tell stories and would be able to talk for hours. She loved to be the host of a party, all holidays were at her house. Jaynie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by many.
She is survived by her stepmother: Mary Williams of Wagner, OK; sons: Bobby Hudgens and wife Penny of Tecumseh, OK; and Ricky Hudgens and wife Paula of Andrews, TX; daughter: Cristi Harp and husband Grant of Lubbock, TX; brother: Dee Williams and wife Shannon of Marlo, OK; sisters: Lois Whitehead of Meridian, OK and Angela Seratte and husband Don of Comanche, OK; 8 grandchildren: Desiree Treeby; Natasha Treeby; Shalon Sullivan; Haley Hudgens; Jheri Adams; Kody Harp; Colton Harp; and Tyna Sanders; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Jaynie is preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Hudgens Sr.; parents L.D. and Rachel Williams; sisters: Lynn Harris and Beth Hall; and grandson: Jimmy Hogeland.
