Kenneth Lynn Reese, a cherished individual celebrated for his steadfast love, delightful humor, and extraordinary talent for repairing anything except a broken heart, passed away on January 9, 2025, in Odessa, TX. Born on October 22, 1956, in Raton, NM, Kenneth’s life was a vibrant mosaic of happiness, laughter, and the profound connections of family.
His devoted wife, Debbie Reese of Andrews, TX, stood by him in a partnership marked by love and mutual respect, and together they created 46 years of cherished memories. Kenneth’s sons, Wesley Reese with his wife Jennie of Peoria, AZ, and Bradley Reese with his wife Hope of Midland, TX, along with his daughter, Meagan Cunningham and her husband Daryl of Andrews, TX, reflect his nurturing guidance as a father. His brothers, Weston Reese with his partner Faye of San Francisco, CA, and Bob Reese and wife Dena of El Paso, TX, also mourn his absence.
The radiance of Kenneth’s life was especially evident in his role as “Pops” to his grandchildren: Caleb, Ada, Autumn, Mason, and Madyn. His playful spirit and endless affection made each moment with them precious. The legacy of his compassionate nature is also mirrored in the lives of his beloved work children: Jerry Gonzales, Aaron Anaya, and Pat Brack, who found in Kenneth a mentor and a friend.
A lifelong mechanic, Kenneth’s expertise and understanding of machines were unparalleled. His influence extended beyond the garage to the soccer fields, where he coached and mentored young players with great joy. As a dedicated NASCAR fan, his passion for the sport was infectious, and he loved sharing the thrill of drag races with his family. His adventurous spirit often led them to the great outdoors, where they created enduring memories of fishing and camping under the stars. Kenneth was a master of many trades whose simple joys and love for nature were a cornerstone of his life.
Though he was indeed a humble man, Kenneth’s humor and capacity for hard work left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His jokes and laughter were the heartbeat of many gatherings, and his dedication to his loved ones was unwavering. The image of Kenneth with a fishing rod in hand, a smile on his face, and a twinkle in his eye, will forever be cherished.
Kenneth’s journey through life was one of joyous moments and heartfelt connections. While he has been preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Leon and Ada Rose Reese, the essence of his spirit—a blend of love, laughter, and dedication—will continue to resonate with those he has left behind.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 PM, at McNett Funeral Home. A funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church in Andrews, TX. Interment will follow immediately at the Andrews North Cemetery.
