Avon’s melodious voice graced many church programs and skits, and her love for singing was a gift she shared generously.
A true lover of the outdoors, Avon found solace and joy in her garden. She was often found tending to her plants with tender care, speaking to them as if they were old friends. The sight of Avon playfully squirting the children with the hose as they attempted to sneak by is a cherished memory that will bring smiles for years to come.
Her skills in the kitchen were legendary, especially her giant pan of blackberry cobbler, a family favorite and a testament to the fruits of her gardening labor. Her canning of vegetables and fruits was not only a hobby but also an expression of her love for her family, providing them with the tastes of home throughout the year.
