For the January 18, 2022 meeting, Permian Basin Chapter, NSDAR welcomed local artist, Alice Leese who presented the program “Ranching and Art”. Leese brought her backpack full of supplies showing the audience how she’s created a portable art station allowing her to work on the ranch and paint when she has a “few extra minutes”. Ranching helps her to see a landscape made by nature or man and create a record of the environment as seen through her eyes as an artist.
