Two separate routine traffic stops by local police officers in the past week led to arrests involving manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance charges, according to police.
In both instances, what appeared to be crystal methamphetamine and large amounts of cash were recovered, Andrews Police Chief Ronny McCarver said.
One arrest involved the discovery of a “substantial amount” of meth—the specific charge was between four and 200 grams—in a vehicle, according to police.
The actual amount was “closer to the 200” gram figure, police said.
