In a game that was much closer than the final score, the Andrews Mustangs Black JV basketball team lost to 6A Midland Legacy 48-37 on the road Tuesday. Andrews led 16-7 after the first quarter but were outscored by quarter margins of 12-2, 18-12 and 11-7 for the 11-point loss.
The last three quarters were very competitive in the Andrews Mustangs road game with 6A Midland Legacy, but the first eight minutes were the back breaker.
The Andrews Lady Mustangs 7th ‘A’ and ‘B’ basketball teams didn’t have much trouble beating Pecos Monday. The AMS 7th ‘A’ girls won 44-5 and the ‘B’ Fillies won 36-4.
