Ahead 7-4 and needing just three more outs to call it a day, the Andrews Mustangs gave up four runs to fall to the Shallowater Mustangs 8-7 in their last non-district game before starting district at Seminole Tuesday.

Lopez wins gold medal in triple jump to lead JV boys at Cooper

In the JV division, Adolfo Valles Lopez had the only gold medal win for Andrews Mustangs JV with a first in the triple jump with a 38’4.50” while Ryan Gafford had a second in the 400 with a 55.58 and a third in the long jump with a 17’3”. Also medaling with third place finishes were Branham Matschek in the 800 with a 2:19, Leeroy Millan in the 300 hurdles with a 46.05 and Jose Sanchez in the pole vault with a 9’6”.

Rodriguez in discus, Parker in PV win gold at Cooper

Vasquez jumps 5-feet to turn heads by winning high jump at Pirate Relays
