Coming off an impressive showing at the Carrollton Classic in the Dallas area the week before, the Andrews Lady Mustangs had a lot going for them headed into the Midland Classic Thursday through Saturday.
No one is knocking any other Andrews Mustangs sports program because really they all fall under the same umbrella with a ton of the same kids but had the AHS baseball team of Coach Robert Morris gotten the same treatment as say the football program – they would have gotten parades for going four rounds in the state playoffs in 2021.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Young Guns and the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Shoot-Out are where the big guns go to start their shooting season!
A very good basketball season came to a ‘stop at the tracks’ end for the Andrews Mustangs Friday night in the 1-4A Area playoff round when the Hereford Whitefaces got the best of Coach Todd Warren’s boys in all phases of the game for the 59-35 win at Shallowater High School.
