AHS girls drop season finale to Seminole to place third in 2-4A

The Andrews Lady Mustangs had a tough time out of the blocks in their final district game against Seminole, falling behind 25-2 in the first quarter in what turned out to be a 75-41 Maidens’ win.

Mustangs beat FS

With hopes of sharing the district title, the Andrews Mustangs did what they had to on the road with a lopsided 76-45 win at Fort Stockton to improve to 5-wins and 1-loss with two league games to play. Seminole is still in first place with a perfect 6-0 mark.

AHS Fillies to play MV in bi-district Monday at 4:30

The Andrews Lady Mustangs, the third place team from district 2-4A, will take on Mountain View, the second place team from the El Paso region, in the bidistrict round in Alpine Monday at 4:30 p.m. at Sul Ross State University. Andrews will be the home team and be seated on the South side of the gym.

AHS girls fall to FS in battle for third

Needing to win to pretty much secure themselves of a tie for second place in district behind only Seminole, the AHS girls let a 12-7 first period advantage evaporate into a 54-52 road loss to Fort Stockton to pretty much drop to third in 2-4A play with one game to go..

AMS 8th ‘B’ boys win 50-24

Behind a balanced scoring attack that had every player on the team scoring, the Andrews Mustangs 8 th ‘B’ boys claimed a 50-24 road win at Monahans Monday.
