AMS 8th ‘A’ and ‘B’ girls take down Pecos in 2 as end of season nears

The Andrews Lady Mustangs 8th ‘A’ and ‘B’ volleyball girls both claimed solid win at Pecos Monday. The AMS 8th ‘A’ won 28-26, 25-19 while the ‘B’ Fillies also won in two 25-22, 25-8.

Andrews 7th grade Fillies sweep Pecos to keep mounting wins

An easy 25-16, 25-9 win over Pecos Monday improved the Andrews Lady Mustangs 7th ‘A’ volleyball team’s season record to a sparkling 14-wins and 1-loss. The Andrews ‘B’ team also won by a 25-10, 25-20 score to keep things going in the right direction.

AMS 8th volleyball girls swept by Rangerettes

The Andrews Lady Mustangs 8th grade ‘A’ and ‘B’ volleyball teams suffered tough losses to Greenwood Thursday.

Andrews 7th ‘A’ boys beat Odessa 28-0

The Andrews Mustangs 7th ‘A’ blanked a tough Odessa Compass Academy 28-0 Thursday.

AHS boys top 6A & 5A field at Abilene

Great showings by the boys’ 200-medley and 400-free relay teams at the mostly 6A and 5A Abilene Invitational was enough to push the Andrews Mustangs to a first place finish with 389 points. Meanwhile, the Lady Mustangs — also with a first in the 400free — settled for third place with 237 points behind Amarillo High (341) and Abilene Wylie (242). In the overall numbers, Coach Mike Waldmann’s program was second behind 6A Amarillo High 637-626.
